HRPAF's Comitiment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

“The High River Performing Arts Foundation strongly believes in equity and decolonization. As a member of the arts community,  projects of social justice, marginalization and human rights flow all around us, in many artistic forms. It is our goal to make our space inclusive, accessible, and safe for all and their lived experiences as diverse individuals work to express any kind of creative endeavour to bring awareness to these issues. In addition to artists and their creative offerings, the HRPAF is committed to making our structures and systems accessible, inclusive and safe for community members interested in working with, and through, our Board.”

We would like to take this opportunity as a settler organization to acknowledge the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Good Stoney First Nations. We would also like to acknowledge the Otipemisiwak Government of the Metis District 1.
