The Venue Feasibility Study 2022

The High River Performing Arts Foundation(HRPAF) is leading the development of The Venue, a newly constructed 26,000 sq ft accessible, inclusive and collaborative creative and performing arts space in downtown High River, Alberta. The Venue will provide seniors, adults, teens and children, from all cultural and economic backgrounds, with an open and available community space where they can gather, learn, play and be inspired by musicians, actors, directors, stagehands, painters, sculptors, photographers, videographers and recording engineers.

The Venue will enable arts entrepreneurs to thrive with access to purpose-built facilities, professional equipment and increased opportunities to teach, perform, create and collaborate.

We would like to take this opportunity as a settler organization to acknowledge the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Good Stoney First Nations. We would also like to acknowledge the Otipemisiwak Government of the Metis District 1.
